Why Every Online Business Should Use an Autoresponder
If you are an online marketer, are you using an autoresponder?
If you answered no, then you need to read the rest of this article to find out why you should be.
If you are an internet marketer you will know that it can be quite a difficult process to drive traffic to your website. When you put in a lot of time and effort to build up your site and start receiving visitors then you should feel successful.
But what about those visitors that leave your site without purchasing the product you are promoting?
Are you going to just let them walk away and lose that sale?
Actually, imagine that a visitor found your website on Google or through an article, doesn’t matter what method, the fact is they found YOUR website. Your site is exactly what she has been looking for and she is about to purchase the product you are promoting when the phone rings. So off she goes to answer the phone, then gets sidetracked and completely forgets about purchasing your product – a lost sale!
Or is it a lost sale?
You see for those smart Internet Marketers who have an optin box on their website, they had possibly already captured her email address. With her signed up to their subscriber list, they now have the opportunity to follow up with that visitor and possibly still make the sale.
Building a subscriber list is a great way to capture those sales that might otherwise be lost. They are also a great way to turn a ‘browsing’ customer into a ‘buying’ customer.
How do you capture visitors?
Firstly you will need to add an optin box for your visitors to sign up to your mailing list. An optin box on its own though is often not enough and you might still miss out on many potential customers.
It is a good idea to offer your visitors something in return for signing up to your mailing list. You can offer a free report or ebook in return for signing up to your mailing list or newsletter; this is a very effective method for capturing subscribers.
Once your visitors have signed up to your mailing list then you can follow up with them via emails on a regular basis.
Don’t ever get complacent with your subscriber list though and think that it is an opportunity to spam them with every product available. It is best to build up a relationship with your subscribers and send them good quality emails that they will enjoy reading, without being pressured into buying something.
If you constantly try to sell your subscribers products they will soon unsubscribe themselves from your mailing list. If you build up a relationship with your subscribers, they will see you as someone that they can trust and then they will be glad to take a look at a product that you recommend.
I’m sure you have heard the saying ‘the money is in the list’, well it is very true and having a subscriber list really can improve your business and increase your income.
