If you want to pass these sites and rank higher then it is likely that you will need to build more backlinks to your site than what these sites have.

How to build backlinks to your site

1. The first method for building backlinks is by using article marketing. Write an article and submit that article to a number of different article directories. Each submission will contain a link pointing back to your website. The more directories that you submit your article to the more backlinks you will gain. Keep writing articles and submitting them to directories to build up the number of backlinks to your website.

2. The next method for building backlinks is blog commenting. Look for blogs relating to your niche and leave comments on their blog posts. Always contribute to the conversation and leave a comment that relates to the post. Include a link in your comment or many blogs will allow you to link your name to your website.

3. The third method for building backlinks is to build a small blog empire. Create a few different blogs on Blogger, Wordpress, Weebly and more and submit articles or blog posts to these blogs on a regular basis. Each time you update these blogs include a link back to your main website.

4. Our fourth method for building backlinks is by using Web 2.0 sites like Hubpages and Squidoo. These sites are ranked very highly in the search engines and as such are a great source for building backlinks. You can set up a free account with these sites and then build a page on the topic of your site and include links back to your website.

5. The last method we use for building backlinks is guest blogging. With guest blogging you contact other blog owners in your niche and offer to write a guest post for their blog.

The advantage to the blog owner is that they are receiving good content for their blog and in exchange you get to leave a link pointing back to your website. There are also blogs that allow you to sign up and post as often as you like so you can regularly add posts and backlinks.

It does take time to build backlinks and also takes time for those pages to be indexed by the search engines, but don’t give up, keep on building those links and soon you will see your website climb higher in the search engine rankings and will gain a lot more traffic as a result.
