The following projects have been completed :
Preparation and development of appropriate training programs at a range of customer settings. All of these programs are competency based training programs that are designed to identify required competencies against learning outcomes, performance criteria, assessment criteria and assessment activities. All are designed for distance learning as well as class room and on the job training settings. Many of the sites have included Local Government, State government and agencies as well as recognised service providers.
Assistance and advice for organisations seeking to become RTO’s according to State and Commonwealth guidelines and procedures.
Review of key HRM issues and strategies for ATCO Controls. Involved in assisting organisation to deal with BPR and TQM issues. A training program was developed and implemented which included the writing of relevant training program modules. This work had to align against enterprise bargaining and required competencies.
Training services provided for prominent community services organisation that deals with retired and aged people.
Provision of training services for large community organisation dealing with children’s services and associated activities.
Development of relevant training program for Transfield (rail infrastructure)This has involved the development of competency based training modules relevant to rail maintenance work areas. Aligned against national work awards enterprise agreements and structures and competencies.
Preparation of relevant training programs for Transfield Garrison .
Translation of Quality documentation and Work instructions into training program based on competency requirements for national accreditation. The preparation of modules had to be set against enterprise agreements and award structures as well as competencies.
Examination of program policies, administrative operations and HRM functions of the MDGP. As a result a number of relevant training programs were developed.

Assistance with selected aspects of HRM and HRD functions at a major transport operation. Training needs analysis was involved. Some enterprise bargaining work involved. As a result of the introductory work a training program was designed .This program had to fit alongside required competencies.

Market research concerning heavy vehicle movements through Docklands and City of Maribyrnong. Simultaneously performed similar task for DOI.

Advice concerning different aspects of training for Linfox, Cootes Transport Toll Transport,Finemores,K & S Freighters,Chalmers Transport.

Development of relevant training programs for project management purposes. It involved required and supervised demonstration of competencies for tasks.

Development of all necessary documentation for the Training Plan and supporting HRM strategies for a major electrical parts manufacturer and wholesaler. In addition a quality manual was prepared.

Review of Training Systems and provision of suggested HRM alternatives for a major steel products manufacturer (BHP) .
The work involved translation of quality documentation and SOP`s into a training matrix set against competency standards and work place enterprise bargaining and award structures.

Development and delivery of training program for supervisory staff at KemCor (plastics and olefins sites).Simultaneously involved in a change management implementation program as well as quality documentation. The work involved alignment against award structures and enterprise bargaining.

Staff training and HRD review at Southcorp(Gt.Western site).Training focussed upon customer service and marketing efforts. Subsequently involved in review of aspects of HRM,benchmarking and BPR.

1997-1999 Lecturer in Marketing Department (TAFE) VUT
1993 - 1994 Manager - Training ,at Technisearch Limited (RMIT)

This position was essentially that of a Management and Marketing” Person” of a major Tertiary Institution. It was necessary to actively find customers with specific needs, determine the nature and extent of the need, develop appropriate solutions and provide implementable strategies. Some of the solutions were of a training nature; there were occasions that required different solutions. The position focused on “selling “Education solutions to the market place.
Technisearch clients included many urban and rural councils, regional authorities, SEC, Mission Energy, Telecom, Target Stores,Coles-Myer Group Australia Post and medium to large industrial organizations such as Ford Australia, ASTA, Madison Belts and many , many others.

Melbourne City Council Proposed Incubator Centre This study was to identify possible suitable locations and necessary infrastructure supports for a small business Incubator Centre within the commercial zone of the Melbourne City Council area.
Melbourne and Metropolitan Board of Works
Review of functions and performance levels of a servicing branch. In addition, responsible for design of suitable training package to help implement accepted changes.
Department of Territories (Housing Branch)
Study of policy and administrative practices designed to rationalize existing procedures and improve service effectiveness and efficiency. Training was required as one component of work.
Fitzroy Community Services Review
Study to provide Council with information regarding use of community services offered by Council, so as to develop a strategic plan for implementation of cost effective and efficient market based services (i.e. customer responsive).A suitable training package was delivered as part of the work.
Equity Management Pty/ Ltd.
Structural review of company organisation as well as development and implementation of a training package for senior business managers. A Marketing Plan for the Limousine, Taxicab, Courier Van and Parcels Truck Operations was also prepared. This plan established broad basic TQM principles that were to be used as benchmarks. As part of the work a significant O & M study was carried out.

Primary task was to identify more effective and cost efficient ways of policing traffic infringements. More effective Random Breath Testing methods and "Red" Light Cameras were introduced as a result of the studies.

Responsible for planning and running various short courses dealing with administration, management, policy and research for various government departments and private sector organizations. Carried out a staff and program review of a major Melbourne based Migrant Resource Centre. Developed and implemented a training program for all relevant Victorian Migrant Resource Centre Staff (seven centres) in the areas of management, administration and research.

Development and implementation of training for police involved in police Community Involvement Program. Neighbourhood Watch program was one element of this program.

1982 Museum of Victoria (Natural History Division)
Completed an analysis of the Museum's public outreach program - the way its scientific information reached people, and the success of its extension programs.

1982 Queensland Department of Children's Services
Provided an evaluation of the Department's homeless adolescents' program and a cost benefit analysis of work practices carried out. Additionally developed and implemented a training package for middle/senior management.

Review of existing operations, organizational review and restructuring of management and practices and procedures.
1981 - 1982 Department of Planning
Carried out a Social Impact Assessment as part of an Environmental Effects Statement regarding the development of the Portland Aluminium Smelter.

1981 Senate Standing Committee on Health and Welfare
Invited to act as specialist consultant to the Committee regarding welfare program evaluation, performance review and management.

1980 - 1982 Melbourne City Mission
Provided an evaluation of the Mission's homeless adolescents program. The work involved the development of a five year plan for program efficiency and effectiveness within specific budgets. A comprehensive staff training program was developed and run.

1980 Bathurst Orange Development Corporation
Review of BODC paratransit services programs and provision of an estimate of the growth potential of these occurred.

1979 - 1981 Department of Community Welfare Services
Development of a draft corporate plan as part of the restructure of the Department into two new and separate Organisations. Extensive staff training was required.

1980 Sydney Hospital - Renal Unit
Provided a report, identifying advantages/disadvantages of home-based versus hospital based renal dialysis care.

1979 - 1980 Health Commission of Victoria
Completed a report on the relevance of the Commission's Early Childhood Development Program. As part of task a comprehensive staff training program was developed and run.

1979 Telecom Australia
Was responsible for the development of a training program for T.B.O. staff. Primarily focused on assertiveness skills, decision-making customer relations, interpersonal skills and management.
